Snooze Queen

January 12, 2010

I tried waking up a little earlier this morning, per Angela’s “Early Rising Challenge” . She suggests waking up a little earlier each day. Well, I need to set my alarm and place it across the bedroom because I am a snooze queen! I think I even hit the snooze in my sleep and it’s my iPhone! I woke up 15 minutes earlier today though, I guess that’s a start?

I need one of these.

Meet “Clocky”:

The description on Amazon.com:

“Have trouble getting up in the morning? Let the MoMA Design Store Clocky Alarm Clock ensure you get up when you need to be on time for work, school or any other appointment. Clocky gives you one chance to get out of bed. OK to snooze once, after that Clocky jumps off your nightstand, wheels away around your room looking for a place to hide, beeping all the while. You have no recourse but to get up to silence his alarm.”

I may kick him after a while though. I saw this at the Museum of Modern Art store and thought it was pretty cute, although may scare the crap out of me when it jumps off my night stand! Or Leo, who sleeps right below my nightstand. Poor Leo, he wouldn’t see Clocky coming.

Once I awoke I had another repeat:

I know this makes for boring bloggie mornings but my stomach enjoys it just so darn much, forgive me?

Lunch was dee-lish!

I need to go grocery shopping soon but luckily found some good stuff for lunch.

Two large carrots, a large sweet potato, a cooked up all-natural hot dog and some organic frozen broccoli florets I sauteed with some EVOO, salt & pepper!

Mmmmm!

I’m off to do some more job hunting! Wish me luck, I need it! :)

Don’t forgot you have until TOMORROW to enter the giveaway! Good luck!!

Oh no! I foresee Leo getting clunked in the head, and then you’ll have a passed out doggy and a runaway alarm clock. LOL! :) That clock actually sounds really cool, though, as long as you don’t have a sleeping body under your night stand! If you use your iPhone, you can set more than one alarm. Once you’re under the alarm clock, just click on the + sign in the upper right hand corner. I will sometimes set alarms 5 or 10 min apart. Even if I hit snooze on the first one, the second one will still go off.

Also, another trick is to place your alarm clock on a dress or somewhere else in the room, so you have to get OUT of bed!

You should put your phone on the other side of the room, that way you can’t hit it while you’re half asleep.

    Hey Katy,
I’ve been reading your blog for a bit. Your really entertaining and the daily posts keeps it fresh and interesting.
That alarm clock is hilarious. I would not be entertained thought if i had to chase it around my room after the first snooze! I’m so slow to wake up in the morning.
