Oikos Giveaway!
January 8, 2010
Good afternoon bloggies, it’s time for another giveaway!
I definitely wrote this last night but was in such a sleepy rush I forgot to post it! Ah! I spent most of the day at the Disney Expo with Ashley & Ryan we also hit up Whole Foods and LuLuLemon, those girls have an addiction.
I am EXHAUSTED and need to rest (maybe a little nap?). So here’s the giveaway information, full day recap tonight!
As you know, the other day, I mentioned that Stonyfield had sent me coupons to try their greek yogurt, Oikos! Well I totally and honestly loved it. So yummy!
They want to share the Oikos love with you all too!

The winner of the giveaway will receive an Oikos reusable tote as well as:
One free 16 oz. Oikos coupon and four free 5.3 oz. sized Oikos coupons.
Free greek yogurt and a cute tote. Love it!
To enter: Just head here to learn all about Oikos and tell me one fact about greek yogurt/Oikos! I would love if you tweeted this giveaway, or mentioned it but it’s not another entry in and it’s not mandatory, but if you’d like to mention it somehow then that would be great!
EDIT: I forgot to mention this is only open to U.S. Residents! Sorry my international friends.
I will choose a winner at random on Tuesday, January 12th!
Check out Stonyfield, they are a really awesome company. I just saw Food Inc., and it made me love the company even more!
Enjoy the rest of your evening, I am about to go soak in an epsom bath to soothe my sore legs and then crawl back into P.J.’s. It’s going to be a chill night in this house!
Also, are any of you in Orlando and if so are you going to the blog luncheon?? Let me know, I would LOVE to meet you!
Katy

I love pretty much everything about greek yogurt! It’s one of my absolute favorite foods… but my favorite things about it are probably it’s crazy high protein content, and that it’s so versatile! It’s great in baking, makes the best base for a good yogurt mess, and I love using it in place of sour cream!

Greek yogurt is called yiaourti in Greece, and it requires 3 times more milk to make than regular yogurt. (Who knew??)
I’ve never commented before, but I love reading your blog. Keep up the good work!

I love how Oikos yogurt is not made with any antibiotics, artificial growth hormones, genetically modified organisms, chemical fertilizers, or toxic and persistent pesticides… These are all very harmful to our bodies! Going organic is definitely a plus.
…I would love to go to Greece one day! =)

The website mentions that Greek yogurt is all of the rage because it is twice the protein of regular yogurt and it also contains less lactose and fewer carbs!!
I love this yogurt… so I hope to win so that I can curb my grocery cost for a week or so!!

I always get Chobani and Fage, but I’ve been dying to try Oikos. One fact about Greek yogurt is that it takes about 3 times the amount of milk to make compared to regular yogurt!

I have heard so much about Greek yogurt but have not tried it yet! I would love to but it is a little hard to find where I live, but I know some stores I would actually go out of my way to, to try it. The thing that makes me excited about it is THAT IT HAS SO MUCH MORE PROTEIN THAN REGULAR YOGURT. I have very low protein intakes and this might help!

Greek yogurt is definitely one of my favorite foods, and it’s good for you with more protein and less sugar than regular yogurt. Plus Oikos is organic, which makes it that much better!

The reason I love Greek yogurt is because of one of the reasons listed on the site…all the protein! Twice as much as regular yogurt.

The Oikos website is so interesting! I love that Gary had been building windmills based on the Greek design and that’s how he ended up going to Greece and tasting the authentic yogurt! So cool how things work out…

I really didn’t know that much about greek yogurt before going to the website (except that it’s good
), but now I know it’s made from organic milk bought from family farms… I think that’s wonderful!
