A Sunday Full of Friends

January 3, 2010

Sundays should be a day of rest, but today it was super busy! A great kind of busy though.

We headed to a different church today because Marko, our great friend from Italy, was in town.

On our way to church, we stopped by Dunkin Donuts for a quick breakfast since we still haven’t gone grocery shopping yet!

Adam asked for whole wheat a few times. Apparently that means plain bagel. ;) I ate 3/4 of one slice on the way to church and ate the rest later.

Along with a small iced coffee skim & sugar!

After church, we went to hang out with friends for a bit and picked up Publix subs for everyone. Mmmm..

I had a Boars Head turkey on wheat bread with lettuce, green peppers, banana peppers, and tomatoes.

We headed home for just a little bit before heading to a get together with some of the people closest to Marko.

I snacked on pita chips & dip mostly, nothing worth taking a picture of.

This is Adam and I with Marko. He’s so great!

We got home around 10 and I still needed a substantial dinner. Super late dinner..but dinner.

I read off everything we had out loud into song form..

“What can we make with swiss miss, almond butter, larabars, cheese, gatorade, water, pasta noodles, tuuuunaaaa!”

I managed to find enough for a yummy, albeit unbalanced, dinner.

A sweet potato, some roasted-toasted chickpeas and a black bean burger.

Mmmm…

That hit the spot.

I didn’t run my four miles today :( I HATE that..but to be honest, seeing so many friends in one day made it so worth it. I do need to start buckling down with my training though and I know it.

13.1 … I got my eye on you.

I will talk about my day a little more tomorrow, but Adam and I need some time together before he goes back to work for real tomorrow.

Goodnight friends!

Katy

The salad looks amazing! I just found your blog this weekend and rented 500 Days after you mentioned it.I LOVED the movie too! The story was quirky but smart and I love the music, had to run to itunes and buy it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had such a restful Sunday yesterday… my first day of doing nothing (I didn’t even leave my house!) in over two weeks, and it felt amazing! Now it’s back to work… :(
