Graduation: Class of 2009!

December 20, 2009

Well, yesterday, I became an alumni of the University of Central Florida!! :) :)

Sorry for no post, I had a really crazy busy day. Here’s a recap.

Me receiving my diploma.

This is me giving a thumbs up to a camera that played us ont he big screen. I also found out that it’s the camera they use to braodcast the livestream of graduation to the internet. My Dad couldn’t get it to work at first, but PTL it started working just as they called my name!! :) He also saw me wave and give a thumbs up. My family was in the major nosebleed section of the UCF arena, so I made sure to wave to them. :)

Adam was having fun with the camera. This is my mom and I.

My future must be way too bright, I could barely keep my eyes open.

Then we all said bye and the family left to get ready for brunch while Adam and I headed to the Barnes & Noble on campus to drop my cap and gown off. We didn’t get to keep them, but I did get to keep the tassel. Then Adam and I headed to Kissimmee which is about 45 minutes away to have brunch with our families.

On our way out I snacked on a caramel macchiato and half a clif bar.

Full fat, the husband forgot the nonfat but I was just so thankful to be met with coffee that I really didn’t mind. I was so rushed graduation morning because we had to be at school by 7:30! I was starving the whole time. This held me over until brunch.

I had a roll with some butter, a piece of spinach and cheese quiche, some fruit salad(plus another scoop) and salad. With a mimosa(or three..)

Yum! :) They were only half full of champagne.

After brunch I had an unpictured mug of coffee with half & half and stevia.

Then I headed home to pick Leo up and to meet back up with my mom, her friend Sally and a whole lot of cookie making at Sally’s house.

They were almost done when I got there but I helped a little. I also sipped on a glass of wine while I was there.

It was awesome, and I have so many cookies to show for their hard work!! YUM! You will see them this week, a lot, I am sure! :)

My mom brought Bo, and I took plenty of pretty pictures of him under the tree..

Then I rushed home to head right back out AGAIN!! But for good reason, we met up with Adam’s parents. The boys went to see Avatar and us girls FINALLY got see New Moon!!

Oh my gosh..I am slowly becoming addicted and this just pushed me over the edge. I tried to hold out for so long. I did. I can’t any longer. What’s SO fun though is that they filmed the Italy scene in Siena, where Adam and I went on our 4-month date(we were in Italy for the summer on a missions trip and happened to have a day off so we took a bus there). I thought it looked familiar! :)

It was late but we hadn’t had dinner yet! My mother-in-law and I got out of our movie first so we headed to Smokey Bones for dinner.

I also snacked on some of my mother-in-law’s french friends and then the four of us shared some of their fresh made cinnamon donuts. I had about 1 1/2 little ones dipped in strawberry sauce! Yum!

We then headed home and I immediately went to bed and fell asleep!

For breakfast I had two pieces of leftover spinach quiche with some fruit salad and a mug of ginger green tea. Yum! :)

Now I am of to start looking at job listings, I am taking a “break” until January 1st, but I am going to start looking and applying now. I’ll post more about my plans in the next month or two. :)

Enjoy your Sunday!!

Congratulations! Graduation is tedious, but still a great accomplishment and fun! And that food- I now have a craving for kiwis! Beautiful tree…
